How to be a Witness Service Volunteer

Anyone over 18 years of age can apply to become a Witness Service volunteer. After a successful interview, you will go on a 7-day training course, followed 3 months later by an eighth day.

All volunteers are subject to a Criminal Records Bureau check before work in the court commences.

Travel and lunch expenses are paid.

You will be expected to commit to volunteering for at least 2 days a month and for a minimum of 1 year. After this time, the Witness Service will provide you with a reference.

If you have never thought of volunteering before - Give it a try
