Help for Victims

Victims will attend court as a witness for the prosecution.

If you are a victim, and have to come to court we recommend that you come for a pre-trial visit, which we can organise.

For immediate assistance, please phone the national Victim Support helpline on 0845 303 0900.

The Witness Service will obtain your statement on the day of the trial, so that you can refresh your memory of events.

Please advise us of any anxiety or vulnerability.

If staffing permits, a Witness Service volunteer will offer to accompany you into the courtroom.

If you have been a victim of crime and are still suffering the effects we suggest you contact the Victim Support Scheme for on going support.

If you are in immediate danger call the police on 999
