Help and Information

After the court appearance

When you have given your evidence, you may wish to leave. If you wish to know the result of the trial, the Witness Service will offer to contact you.

If the court experience has left you feeling anxious or worried, the Witness Service volunteer will continue to provide support until you feel able to cope and leave the building.

There may be some other issues relating to the incident that continue to upset or distress witnesses and victims. With your consent the Witness Service will be able to refer you to other agencies and voluntary organisations that could offer you on-going support after the trial.

It might include referring back to Victim Support Croydon who would assist in your claim for Criminal Injuries Compensation

If you are in immediate danger call the police on 999
