Anyone can apply to become a Victim Support Volunteer. The work carried out by Victim Support Croydon is done mainly by volunteers from the local community, who give their own time to support other community members who have become victims of crime.
Volunteers are asked to commit to the Scheme for a minimum of a year, as we invest a great deal in training people for the role.
Could you be a Victim Support Volunteer? YES!
You don't need special qualifications, but do need to be a good listener
Anyone with enough spare time to firstly attend our training, and then to carry out the work supporting victims of crime is welcomed. All volunteers are subject to a Criminal Records Bureau check and an interview before they begin working as a volunteer. All expenses incurred through working as a volunteer are paid
