Am I a victim of Crime?

Victim Support Croydon offers help and support to anyone who has either experienced crime or been affected by crime.

Essentially Victim Support Croydon is a “first aid” or crisis intervention service to offer emotional support often within 48 hours of the crime occurring – occasionally we do offer longer-term support for those that are finding it difficult to come to terms with what has happened.

You are a victim of crime if something has happened to you that is against the law. The decision about whether or not to report the crime to the Police is yours. It may help to talk this over with someone first. Victim Support Croydon can help you with that decision and can still help you even if you decide not to report it to the Police. Crime does take many forms – if you think what has happened to you is illegal then you can contact the Police immediately.

If you are in immediate danger call the police on 999
